BCCI on Virat and Rohit: Bold Step Towards Team Transition
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has communicated a clear message to two of India’s most famous players — Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. They will have to play in domestic one-day tournaments if they want to continue as representatives of the country in One-Day Internationals (ODI) games.
Both icons are expected to return to domestic cricket through the Vijay Hazare Trophy. It starts on December 24. The move is part of the board’s new focus on maintaining match fitness and game sharpness in senior players.
