In Odisha, officials plan to evacuate over 10 lakh people from 3,000 villages across 14 districts. They will house evacuees in relief camps. Moreover, schools and colleges will close in Odisha until October 25. Similarly, in West Bengal, schools will shut down from October 23 to 26 in seven districts.
