Shortness of Breath is the first symptom:

If you are suddenly experiencing shortness of breath from a normal range of activities such as walking, mild exercise or climbing stairs, your heart may have to work unusually hard to provide adequate oxygenation to the body.

Dr. Chopra states “Are you struggling to breath while going up stairs, walking, or just sitting? Your heart may not be circulating oxygen as effectively.” A symptom of difficulty breathing is one of the early indicators. It indicates the heart is experiencing difficulty circulating blood.

Abnormal or Unusual Fatigue

If you’re experiencing fatigue even when you are resting enough, it could mean more than simply being tired. It could be a sign of decreased heart function.

Dr. Chopra says, “Are you feeling exhausted after sleeping enough?” When normal daily tasks begin to drain you of all energy, this may suggest that your heart is not functioning correctly.

Fatigue occurs when the body does not have enough oxygen-rich blood to supply tissues with adequate blood flow.

Pulse Irregularities

A fluttering, heavy, thumping, or missing heartbeat is not something that should ever be dismissed. While abnormal heartbeats can occasionally happen. They may indicate underlying cardiovascular stress either way. Dr. Chopra suggests that when someone recognizes they have an irregular rhythm pattern, they should seek immediate medical attention. “Did you miss a beat? Is your heart racing? Did your heart beat make an abnormal sound on occasion?” “Occasionally, these minor changes can signal underlying heart stress.”

Sleep Issues And Anxiety

People who experience sleep disruptions, morning breathlessness, or MI while lying down are often unaware these types of symptoms may be the result of cardiovascular disease.

Dr. Chopra mentions “If you frequently awaken from sleep out of breath or if you are unable to sleep flat due to diaphragmatic stress, you may be suffering from cardiovascular stress,”.

These signs may come from either a build-up of too much fluid or weakened pumping ability by the heart when resting.

Swelling of Feet/Aches

When your ankles, feet or legs swell, it is called edema. This swelling may occur because of poor blood circulation from poor heart function. Dr. Chopra says: “Swollen feet/legs/ankles indicate that the heart has been ineffective in successfully pumping blood through the body resulting in excess fluid.”
Swelling usually starts to occur as the body experiences significant stress. It is from lack of sufficient Heart Stress or Silent Heart Stress and should be looked at as a serious health issue.
