This was developed with the larger screens of Android tablets and foldable devices in mind. It is because the larger screens can provide users with larger interfaces. On the smaller mobile devices, it hides the Bookmark Bar by default in order to keep the mobile interface clean and neat.

How to Activate the Bookmark Bar in Chrome for Android

The Bookmark Bar feature is available to all Chrome for Android users in version 146, and users also still have access to the full “All Bookmarks” section for more detailed management of their saved links.

In order to activate this feature:

• Go to Settings in Chrome
• Select “Appearance”
• Select the option to enable the Bookmark Bar.

In addition, when any bookmark is long-pressed, it now shows the full URL of that bookmark, allowing for greater control and clarity over that bookmark.
