Grammy Awards 2025 achieved hand-in-hand with Indian-American singer Chandrika Tandon winning her Personal-New Age Grammy for the Best New Age-Ambient or Chant album for Triveni
It was a joyous win for her as she described it, giving credence to the peculiar win in her long music career. It is her first-ever Grammy nomination. What an ecstatic moment it will be when she brings one home. She together with the South African flutist Wouter Kellerman and Japanese cellist Eru Matsumoto brought their music onto Triveni. This was an exhilarating experience in soulful genres that captivated both students and judges.

“As my win broke, I was dancing with fullness in my heart,” said Tandon about her Grammy. Speaking with The Recording Academy, she was quoted as saying, “What more could I ask? Such marvelous artists like Wouter Kellerman and Eru Matsumoto were nominated in this category. To us, this is really special.”
Indian Musicians Celebrate Their Triumph
The race was close in the category of Best New Age, Ambient, or Chant Album, featuring many other Indian nominees. Other nominations included Ricky Kej; Anoushka Shankar’s Chapter II: How Dark It Is Before Dawn; Radhika Vekaria’s Warriors of Light; and Ryuichi Sakamoto’s Opus for consideration.
