PM Modi Ayodhya Visit: ‘Dhwaj Arohan’ Ceremony at Ram Temple
The Prime Minister of India Today visited Ayodhya to take part in a significant religious ceremony that has taken place at the new Ram Temple. The ceremony, known as Dhwaj Arohan, will see the installation of a 22-foot devotional flag or ‘dharma dhwaj’ on the temple shikhar.

The flag displays a sun, which represents eternal brilliance and energy associated with Lord Ram. In addition, the flag also shows the sacred Om sign. This is a religious component to the event.
The Indian Prime Minister’s office will be celebrating an auspicious (or muhurat) date. It signifies the union between Lord Ram and Mata Sita according to the Hindu religion. Also, marking it with a flag atop a temple shikhar built in the traditional Nagara style of North India. It represents an important part of the historical development of temple architecture.
On the occasion of the ninth Sikh Guru (Guru Tegh Bahadur) being commemorated for his two-day meditation in Ayodhya in the 17th Century, we are also marking the Martyrdom of Guru Tegh Bahadur on this day.
108 Acharyas from Ayodhya, Kashi and South India presided by Ganeshwar Shastri. A distinguished Scholar of Kashi will perform special pooja ceremonies in honour of the temple and commemorate these events.
Security, Preparations & Guest Arrangements
Only invited guests with QR coded passes will be allowed access to the temple premises up to 2:30 PM on that day. Many measures are in place. The roads are free from all obstructions, new signage has been placed. Sanitation teams are working hard to ensure a clean atmosphere for this day of celebration.
Historic Milestones Leading to Today
The Ram Janmabhoomi Trust has invited approximately 6,000 guests to attend this ceremony. This date represents another momentous event for all people in connection with the ongoing construction and consecration of the Ram Temple, with immense spiritual, cultural and historical value for many.
