Parag Tyagi indicated that Shefali was fasting for a religious Satyanarayan Pooja at home on Sunday. She apparently fainted after she took in the food made the day before. Police State There Was No Signs of Foul Play
Mumbai police have ruled out anything indicating direct foul play. “There is currently no foul play suspected.” “A senior police officer involved in the investigation remarked, ‘We are waiting for the post mortem report.” The statements made by Shefali’s husband and family have been taken as a matter of routine.
In the search of her house, police recovered two boxes of tablets. It included anti-aging pills, skin-whitening supplements, vitamins, and so on.
Her family described that Shefali had been using these products without medical prescription or supervision. Also, that none had caused any medical problems before now.

For now, the case is still under the accidental death classification while the post-mortem and toxicology report are finalized. Meanwhile, investigators will assess the supplements found at her residence. Although there is no evidence of misuse or malpractice.
