Smriti Mandhana Wedding Called Off
Smriti Mandhana, a well-known cricketer in India, has confirmed through an official Instagram post that her much-publicised wedding to composer Palash Muchhal has been called off. It is after weeks of speculation across social media. She asked for both privacy and the conclusion of this issue, which is the main thrust behind her confirmation.
Reason Why Mandhana Scripted This Statement
A special message was posted by Smriti Mandhana on December 7th. She said it had become apparent through social media speculation that much of the current attention to her personal life had become overly focused. Also, she wished to clarify through her statement that her wedding had been canceled. Moreover, she requested in the closing sentence of her statement, to respect the decision made by both families and to note that her personal focus now would be returning to cricket.

In her public statement, Mandhana expressed her concern about the continued speculation. To clarify, she mentioned that there was no evidence of any wedding that would not likely have taken place. She said both of their families also needed time to process the emotions of this event. Also, she expressed her hope that there would not be further conversations surrounding the situation.

Earlier in 2025, Palash proposed to her at DY Patil Stadium. Plans were made for a wedding on 23 November 2025, in Sangli, and it was expected to be one of the biggest wedding events of the year. This all changed suddenly when Samantha’s Father was taken ill just hours before the wedding was scheduled to occur. Furthermore, shortly thereafter, there were recent news updates stating Palash was admitted to the hospital suffering from stress. Thus, both families chose to put the wedding on an indefinite hold.

After the incident occurred, many people began speculating on social media that Palash was cheating on Samantha. The family of Palash stated that the speculation was completely unfounded and was hurtful to them.
A few days later, both Smriti and Palash deleted the wedding-related posts on their social media accounts. But Smriti remained quiet until she made her official announcement.
Palash Muchhal’s Response
After Mandhana’s announcement, Palash released a personal statement saying he was moving forward. He expressed how much gossip has affected him, and he let it be known that he is considering legal action against anyone making false or defamatory statements against him.
Increase of Attention Through Instagram Unfollow
There have been a lot of differences between Smriti and Palash lately, and although many of the social media followers have also noticed that Smriti is no longer following Palash on Instagram, Palash continues to follow Smriti.
