Uber One

Uber has launched its Uber One subscription plan in India, offering exclusive perks and benefits for frequent users. This move comes as the ride-hailing market in India becomes increasingly competitive with new entrants like Namma Yatri.

What Is Uber One?

Uber One is a premium membership program providing discounts, priority support, and rewards. Users can choose from three subscription plans:

  • ₹149 per month
  • ₹349 for three months
  • ₹1,499 annually

Subscribers earn Uber Credits capped at ₹150 per trip, which can offset ride costs. While the membership is non-refundable, annual members can cancel and lose their benefits immediately upon doing so.

Additional Zomato Perks

As part of the program, users get a three-month Zomato Gold membership, offering dining and delivery discounts. This collaboration expands Uber’s ecosystem and makes the plan more appealing to customers seeking combined value for transportation and dining.

Why the Launch Now?

India’s ride-hailing market is evolving rapidly with increased competition. New platforms like Namma Yatri are attracting users with competitive pricing and driver-friendly policies. It’s launch aims to strengthen customer loyalty and counter the rising competition.

New Safety Features

Uber has also introduced safety updates, including:

  • SOS integration for emergencies
  • Helmet selfies for pillion riders
  • Women rider preference for female drivers

Globally, Uber One already boasts over 25 million subscribers. Its entry into India is a strategic step to enhance the customer experience and maintain market leadership.
