In a significant advancement for Indian cinema, AA Films has secured the theatrical distribution rights for Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups throughout North India and Nepal. The movie, featuring Rocking Star Yash, further enhances its national presence with this tactical decision.
This recent announcement has sparked considerable excitement in bollywood news latest circles. As the film solidifies its status as one of the most ambitious Indian cinematic projects in recent times.
Reunion Following the KGF Phenomenon
The partnership signifies a strong comeback for Yash and distributor Anil Thadani. AA Films had earlier released blockbuster successes such as KGF: Chapter 1 and KGF: Chapter 2. These both transformed the landscape of pan-India cinema.
Their previous collaboration was crucial in broadening regional cinema to national and international viewers. With Toxic, the pair intends to reach even greater levels. It helped them utilize their combined history of providing record-setting stage performances.
Growing a Vast Distribution Network
Toxic has already obtained significant pre-release agreements. The movie was the initial non-Telugu project to secure a significant distribution deal with Sri Venkateswara Creations in the Andhra Pradesh–Telangana region. Moreover, Phars Film secured international distribution rights for its versions in Indian languages. It was in one of the largest foreign agreements for an Indian movie.
Also, with AA Films now leading distribution in the Hindi belt, North India, and Nepal, the film’s release plan reflects the magnitude and aspirations of its cinematic universe.

Anil Thadani, the Founder of AA Films, characterized Toxic as a venture crafted with “uncommon ambition and determination”. So he aimed at connecting Indian and global perspectives. He also reiterated that the movie is designed for cinema, featuring broad visuals, technical skill, and worldwide appeal
Thadani has played a crucial role in distributing iconic films like Baahubali: The Beginning, Pushpa: The Rise, Kantara, and Kalki 2898 AD. These were the movies that broke language barriers and set new box office standards.
A Premier Technical Ensemble
Furthermore, Toxic, directed by Mohandas and penned by Yash and Geetu Mohandas, has been filmed concurrently in Kannada and English. Also, dubbed versions are set for Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam, highlighting its international aspirations.
The movie showcases National Award-winning cinematographer Rajeev Ravi, music composed by Ravi Basrur, editing done by Ujwal Kulkarni, and production design created by TP Abid.
