Zomato is set for a rebranding to Eternal, in a changing of the guard with multiple CEOs
According to the official resolution dated February 6, 2025, it represents a shift away from Zomato being a food delivery company into a far broader ecosystem governed by Eternal, co-generating under the multiple-CEO paradigm.
Reason Behind This Name Change
Zomato now also operates in the broader ecosystem encompassing Blinkit, Hyperpure, also launching District.
Deepinder Goyal, founder and CEO of the company, stated the name Eternal was given to the company to separate it from its branded outsourcing following the Blinkit acquisition.
Goyal called ‘eternal’ the statement of the company’s long-term vision and continuing improvement.
What Would Be The Future Directions Of Eternal Ltd?
For Shareholder Approval:A voting round by email to shareholders will confirm the name change.
Website/Ticker Change:New domain ‘eternal.com’ corresponds to the stock code ‘ETERNAL,’ while the erstwhile code ‘ZOMUTO’ relegates to history.
Brand Clarity: Zomato app remains within the existing name bracket, so the flow of communication on the consumer front is nurtured.
The Multi-CEO Approach of Zomato
The multi-CEO structure under Eternal Limited will be in charge of four companies.
Zomato- restaurant and food delivery service,
Blinkit- quick shopping,
Hyperpure-B2B services dealing with restaurants,
District-mixing restaurant management solutions.
What Would Be The Key Implications Of These Critical Changes?
Furthermore, This rebranding points toward an all-encompassing vision built into Zomato’s objectives, with Eternal Ltd. said to be a technology-driven commerce leader with strategies for sustainability and growth geared toward expansioning the Blinkit’s activities.
