The New Wave Art Initiative, an extraordinary exhibition by VEVA ART, was recently launched at The Park Hotel, Connaught Place. This event showcased the remarkable talents of India’s defense personnel. It offered a narrative of creativity, resilience, and expression that transcends the uniform.

Inauguration by Notable Figures

Delhi Transport Minister Mr. Kailash Gahlot and Mrs. Asha Bhaduria, wife of the former Chief of the Air Force, inaugurated the event. It celebrated the creativity and resilience of those serving our nation. The exhibition featured 50 emerging artists from the Army, Navy, and Air Force. Through art, they expressed untold stories of discipline, emotion, and service.

A Resounding Success

Co-founders Malvika Gour and Jehan Kothari envisioned an event that would bridge the gap between the defense community and the art world. The event attracted defense officers, their spouses, and renowned artists like Sudip Roy, Laxman Aelay, and Renu Shahnawaz Hussain. They all received appreciation from the community. Participating artists, such as Rachna Bajaj and Suruchi Jamkar, were present to engage with attendees. The exhibition was curated and mentored by Raju Sutar.

Exhibition Continues at Creativity Art Gallery

The New Wave Art Initiative will run until October 13, 2024, at Creativity Art Gallery in Hauz Khas Village, New Delhi. Art lovers are encouraged to visit between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. to witness the work of defense artists, alongside emerging talents from civil services and other sectors.
