Samsung CEO passes away: On Tuesday, Han Jong-hee, co-CEO of Samsung Electronics, died at the age of 63 from cardiac arrest, according to a company representative. He had been hospitalized prior to his death. The company has not yet announced a replacement for Han.

Han Jong-hee was a foundational architect of the Samsung division that focused on consumer electronics and mobile devices. For 30 years, he was pivotal in helping Samsung become the No. 1 brand in the world for televisions, outpacing its American and Japanese television competitors, including Sony.
