Results for NEET-UG 2026 Re-exam Released

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has published the results of the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination. It conducted after the cancellation of the first exam due to an alleged leak of the question paper. Approximately 20 lakh examinees took the re-exam on June 21. Out of which 11.21 lakh students have qualified. Women have outperformed men once again. Thus sustaining a trend observed in recent years and marking yet another achievement in the history of the NEET exam.

Five New Bills Proposed by the Central Government for the Upcoming Parliament’s Monsoon Session

The Central Government has introduced five Bills for the upcoming Monsoon session of the Parliament, inter alia, the Prevention of Insults to National Honor (Amendment) Bill, 2026. It proposes stricter punishment for a person who intentionally insults or prevents the rendering of Vande Mataram.

The Amendment Bill concerning the Registration of Births and Deaths has been proposed with the aim of tightening. It is worth noting that the current agenda does not include any legislation regarding delimitation.

Delhi High Court Instructs for the Medical Observation of Sonam Wangchuk

Sonam Wangchuk, an environmental activist who embarked on an indefinite hunger strike at Jantar Mantar some 19 days ago. It seems to be in a bad position currently, having lost over 9 kilograms in weight over the period.

Seeing his condition, the Delhi High Court ordered the central and state governments to ensure medical supervision of his progress, as the medical doctors observed that he is not mentally impaired although his health deteriorates.

The West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee told her party members who are under pressure from the central authorities to leave the party before July 21 while making hard-hitting statements during an online press conference.
