Delhi heatwave 2025: Delhi is suffering intense weather conditions as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert. It is for a severe heatwave across the national capital. On Thursday, temperatures are likely to rise to 44°C. Together with winds that may also carry dust and possibility of a thunderstorm and rain later.

Delhi in Heatwave Predicament

The IMD has informed that Delhi today will remain under red alert–the highest alert. Given for extreme weather– as the city is undergoing severe heat along with high winds. The temperatures on Wednesday across different weather stations ranged from 40.9°C to 45.0°C. Most of the city experiencing heatwave conditions.

While it appears that temperatures will be just as high on Thursday, Ayanagar is the only station to have officially registered heatwave conditions at this point today.
