Bigg Boss Kannada 12 Set Sealed Over Environmental Violations

The famous reality show Bigg Boss Kannada Season 12 faced major problems. This was after the set was closed after the concern for violating environmental laws. The house located at Jolly Wood Studios & Adventures in the Bidadi Industrial Area is under the investigation of officials. They are set to evict contestants in a short time.

Environmental Breach Forces Closure of Facility

Officials reported that a recent inspection found that many of the violations were associated with improper disposal of waste and sewage. The KSPCB (Karnataka State Pollution Control Board) said: Untreated wastewater is being released from the site to nearby fields contravening environmental laws.

The construction management of the studio said there was an operational sewage treatment plant (STP) with a capacity of 250 KLD. However, it was also discovered that the STP was not in operation. Also it did not have proper drainage connections in place. In addition, some solid waste – such as plastic cups and paper plates – were not properly segregated and discarded.

Pollution Control Board told them to immediately show down operations

Inspectors also noticed that during the inspection there were two large diesel generator sets located on site. They are causing air and noise pollution in that area.

The KSPCB was compelled to require a cessation of all operation on the site until any environmental standards were met. This occurred in the wake of the results of the sampling study and the ineffective waste management system.

The authorities stated that releasing untreated wastewater into the local ecosystem was potentially harmful to the ecology. It was a violation of state and federal environmental regulations.

Demonstrations and Community Response

“Today’s Bigg Boss episode on Jio Hotstar had a schedule change due to unexpected circumstances. Please go ahead and watch ‘The Bigg Boss Kannada (sic)’ episode now on JioHotstar (sic). We are sorry for the inconvenience,” read the post.

Thus far, the network has not made a firm statement about the environmental issues or the circumstances of the show.

Bigg Boss Kannada 12 has been extremely watched by audiences across Karnataka. It is hosted by native superstar Kichcha Sudeep. However, the show’s fate is now entirely in the hands of the studio’s ability to become compliant with environmental standards in light of the suspension.

All production and related activities have been suspended at and around the Bigg Boss house until proper remedial measures can be addressed and verified by the KSPCB.
