A man’s tale about a woman’s unexpected behavior after his first date with her is fast turning into an online frenzy, thanks to Bumble and Reddit. After rejecting her request for a second date, she bombarded him with phone texts, text messages and eventually showed up at his home unannounced.

A Bumble Date Gone Wrong

Initially, the original storyteller, a 28-year-old, dated a 30-year-old female named Ruth from Bumble for coffee after several months of communication via the app and text. He felt they had a good chemistry and gave Ruth a ride home after their coffee date.

Later that day, however, when the man texted Ruth saying he did not think they had a great connection, Ruth began to send him many phone texts and called him at least several times over two days.

An Onslaught of Phone Calls/Text Messages

According to the man, he received about 10 phone calls from Ruth in one night after he declined her proposal for a second date. After he blocked Ruth’s number, he began to receive phone calls from other numbers (for example, almost 20 missed calls from different phone numbers).

In his post, the man states that he received multiple voicemail messages telling him to return the calls. Due to concerns about the ongoing harassment from the woman, he blocked all her phone numbers.

The situation became more serious when Ruth showed up at the man’s house after locating his home address. When Ruth knocked on the man’s door, his mother answered the door and told Ruth he was not home.

Reportedly, after leaving his house, Ruth left a note at the door saying she was “not a stalker” and wants “clarity and closure” about why their relationship didn’t work out.
