Gill played with intelligence as he played with shorter boundaries and exploited the Royals’ wayward bowling. In his innings, he hit five boundaries and four sixes and laid a solid platform for a good score.

After the steady start, Jos Buttler took full advantage of the situation making 50 not out from just 26 balls. Buttler’s innings comprised of three fours and four sixes which took full advantage of a Rajasthan Royals bowling attack which fell apart in the second half. His movement and pulls and accelerations and the speed at which he created tempo left RR bowlers lost.

Buttler’s fierce batting especially, 24 runs off Wanindu Hasaranga, ensured that Gujarat Titans had no issues surpassing the 200 run mark.
