With the launch of iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max in India, Apple has demonstrated a considerable improvement in camera capabilities, battery efficiency, artificial intelligence and overall features of these new smartphones. These smartphones with the latest A20 processor chip are equipped with the new operating system – iOS 17. They offer a new user experience of variable aperture camera and improved Siri AI.

Prices for iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max
Apple has announced the price of its latest flagship phones at INR 1,64,900 for iPhone 18 Pro and INR 1,79,900 for iPhone 18 Pro Max.
Both models are offered in memory variants of 256GB, 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB. The new smartphones are also available in a new color, Burgundy.
Pre-orders will start from the 12th of September. The phones will be released on the 18th of September in India because it falls in the launch zone of the new models.
Variable Aperture Camera Debuts on iPhone
The biggest highlight of the iPhone 18 Pro series is the new 48MP Fusion Main Camera with variable aperture. Making it the first iPhone to offer adjustable aperture control.
This camera is equipped with six laser-cut blades and offers four aperture settings. The camera is able to adjust automatically depending on the ambient light and depth of images as well as letting the photographer exercise manual control.
Apple presented upgraded Pro Camera settings that get the users quick access to the settings of aperture, shutter speed, white balance, plus the possibility to see information on gamma in the viewfinder.
A20 Pro Chip Enhances Speed
Pro devices employ A20 Pro chip, which is based on the advanced 2nm architecture. The chip features a 6-core CPU, a 7-core GPU. Also, a unique 32-core neural engine that handles gaming and artificial intelligence.
Apple claims that the A20 Pro chip delivers upgraded bandwidth that is 50% higher than previous models and improves GPU performance by 40%. An upgraded vapor chamber system makes cooling more efficient during complex operations.
New Battery Life Features Especially on the Pro Max
This year battery life was significantly improved. The iPhone 18 Pro. It ensures around 36 hours of video playback whereas the iPhone 18 Pro Max offers even more at 45 hours. This makes it the longest-lasting battery in any iPhone ever.
According to Apple, just five minutes of wired charging of the Pro Max can result in about seven hours of video playback. The iPhone 18 Pro needs 15 minutes of wired charging to reach a charge of 50%. While the wireless method takes half an hour.
The introduction of iOS 27 endows the new Pro range with the most recent edition of Apple Intelligence.
The upgraded Siri AI can understand personal context, and know what is on the screen and carry out tasks in compatible applications. Other new AI possibilities include Spatial Reframing, Extend, upgraded Clean Up, and creating stunning images with Image Playground.
