Allu Arjun Seeks FIR Quash After Pushpa 2 Tragedy

A 35-year-old woman lost her life due to asphyxiation at the Pushpa 2 premiere on December 4. The tragic incident occurred at Sandhya Theatre, Hyderabad, when a large crowd gathered to see Allu Arjun. Her eight-year-old son also suffered injuries and required hospitalization.

Police File FIR Against Allu Arjun and Theatre Staff

The next day, the deceased woman’s family filed a complaint at Chikkadpally police station. Consequently, police registered an FIR under Sections 105 and 118(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The FIR names Allu Arjun, his security team, and the theatre management. Authorities arrested three individuals, including one of the theatre’s owners, a senior manager, and the lower balcony in-charge.

Allu Arjun Moves Telangana High Court

To counter these charges, he approached the Telangana High Court on December 6. The actor requested the court to quash the FIR and halt any further proceedings, including his arrest. The High Court is expected to hear the case soon.

Financial Aid to the Victim’s Family

In response to the tragedy, he announced financial assistance of ₹25 lakh for the victim’s family. He expressed his condolences and insisted he shouldn’t bear the blame for the crowd control failure.

Investigation Continues

Meanwhile, the police continue their investigation into the incident. They are focusing on the lapses in crowd management by the security team and theatre staff. More updates will follow once the High Court gives its decision.
